Khmer architectural heritage is not only abundant but divine and extraordinary. It reflects the greater of Khmer civilisation of that period. Between 1844 and 1929, Etienne Aymonier, Sailor, epigraphy and Reside General of French Protectorate, had traced a long history in three volumes on Cambodia, which gives for the first time the translations of the inscriptions found on the site. Then Lunet of Jonquière continues the work of Aymonier, it counts and numbers approximately 910 monuments distributed through Kampuchea. Read more about Angkorian Civilisation
